FreightHUD ("we", "our", or "the extension") helps you review freight rates and available broker evidence on supported load boards. This policy describes the data the extension reads, stores, and sends.
On supported load boards, FreightHUD reads visible load details, including lanes, rates, mileage, equipment, and broker identifiers, to calculate estimates and build optional email drafts in your browser. We do not send load details, rates, or email drafts to our broker-lookup service.
FreightHUD stores the city and state you enter, carrier and contact details, RPM thresholds, and email templates using chrome.storage.sync when available, with browser local storage as a fallback. Chrome may synchronize that data through your signed-in account. Trial dates and license information, including a license key and email returned by the licensing service, use the same storage paths. A license instance identifier is stored locally. You can remove extension data through Chrome's extension and site-data controls.
When the lookup service is configured, the extension sends a broker's public MC or DOT number to our service, which requests FMCSA data. The service may cache the public lookup result for up to 24 hours. Missing or unavailable fields are shown as unverified; bond status is not inferred from authority status.
If you enter a license key, FreightHUD sends that key and an instance identifier to our licensing service for validation. That service communicates with Lemon Squeezy and may return your account email and license expiry. The extension does not enter payment details; any purchase is handled on Lemon Squeezy's site under its own policies.
